Thank you Piatto for donations

Piatto Restaurants adopted Meals on Wheels as one of their charity initiatives in 2014.

JOHANNESBURG – They promoted a fundraising initiative at their restaurants where they ran specials on the menu. For every special ordered, R2 was donated to Meals on wheels.

A check was handed to Meals on Wheels in 2013 with the amount raised from these specials, a whopping R98 178.00. Piatto also supported Meals on Wheels by partnering with us in some of our charity events that we have throughout the year.

In July 2014, some of the staff from Piatto took part in the Nelson Mandela Day cook-a-thon, where 3 500 meals were cooked and distributed to the hungry. This year, Piatto will be planting Eco circles at Montanus Primary School in Southdale.

In December 2104 Piatto sponsored a Christmas Party for 80 children from our Meals on Wheels Community in the South of Johannesburg. They also sponsored an exciting Christmas gift box for each child.

Piatto and Meals on Wheels have built up a solid relationship over the past year, and due to the trust and mutual goals, Meals on Wheels and Piatto will also walk together in 2015 making a difference in the lives of the poor.

Piatto will be sponsoring a cooked meal once a month to 80 children – for continuity, the meals will be served to children in the South of Johannesburg.

Meals on Wheels and their beneficiaries appreciate partnerships like this and we would like to extend a very big thank you to Piatto for their continued involvement and support.
