Meyersdal death toll rises to nine
Since the last update, nine people are reported to have died after a building collapsed in Meyersdal.
MEYERSDAL – According to Santi Steinmann, Media Liaison Officer of Netcare 911, “The death toll has now risen to nine people who have lost their lives.” She added, “Nine people have been treated on scene and transported to hospital for further medical care.”
Earlier today the RECORD reported, “Paramedics and other services are currently on the scene in Meyersdal Eco Estate, Alberton after a building collapsed.
“Upon their arrival on scene they found multiple people were injured after a house that is currently being built collapsed on top of the people.”
One needs to question the safety regulations as well as the proficiency and qualifications of the builder. All too often unqualified people are taken off the street to carry out jobs for which they are not qualified – cheap labour.
Soooo Sad! Is that because of poor Foundation? So many killed!! Soooo sad!
First the Booysens and then the Diamonds, then those poor giraffes and now good honest men die. Call me superstitious, but that so called eco estate is cursed.
