Sanral and Gauteng Traffic’s dodgy ‘partnership’

Motorists reported Gauteng Traffic officers who were spotted stopping traffic on the On-Ramps of N12 coming from Kliprivier Road to Alberton.

JOHANNESBURG – Reporters asked the officers why a SANRAL microbus was travelling with the traffic officers. An officer replied that the traffic police were just doing their job and the SANRAL bus was just parked there.

Motorists who called claimed SANRAL cannot stop traffic, whether or not it is for e-tolling of to check licenses.

Two men who were inside the SANRAL bus did not want to say why they were parked with the Gauteng Traffic Police.

A number of motorists claim they have spotted the traffic police stopping traffic, with the SANRAL bus parked on the side of the road.
