Eden Park mother’s murder case moves to Johannesburg High Court
Eden Park mother Joanne Swartbooi, accused of murdering her boyfriend, recently reappeared at Palm Ridge Magistrate’s court on December 15.
The 36-year-old mother of three faces a charge of murder and defeating the ends of justice after being accused of killing her boyfriend, Timothy Jacobs, with a baseball bat and burning his body.
During her appearance, the state produced an indictment calling for the accused to appear at Johannesburg High Court on January 20 for a pretrial.
The court also revealed that her matter has at least 29 witnesses and she continues to remain in custody after she was denied bail during her previous appearance.
