Hidden Treasures to help the needy

Hidden Treasures Alberton also needs the community's support

ALBERTON – Hidden Treasures, situated in the Trust Bank Centre, Voortrekker Road, Alberton is a shop where the public can donate items. The funds generated is used to help those who are less fortunate or disadvantaged.

Each of the shops supports a specific ministry. The Hidden Treasures shop supports Arise Ministries. There is a crèche with around 140 pre-schoolers who are fed and 20 families are supported.

A pastor and his wife help run the crèche in Winterton, Drakensburg.

Services supplied to the Alberton community include selling donated items at a reasonable cost, which is used for supporting the crèche and needy families.

“If the crèche didn’t exist, these children would be denied the opportunity for pre-schooling. They do much better at school if they are pre-schooled,” said Edel Schostar.

The greatest need in the shop is for volunteers or Christian volunteers who would like to help. For more information on how you can donate, contact 076 126 2122.
