The Vink family will continue to fight for justice

The Vink murder case is postponed to July.

The family of Ludi Vink has still not found any closure of his death after four years of court postponements, but they remain hopeful.

On March 23 and 24, the family again travelled from as far as Limpopo to be in Palm Ridge Magistrate’s Court for court proceedings, but due to the court roll being too full the case was postponed to July 28 and July 30.

Daniel Olivier, a well-known debt collector, and his son, Keith Olivier, a local car salesman, are facing charges of murder connected to the death of Vink in February 2017, after he was fatally stabbed in the eye with a pool cue at Mitzy’s Biker Pub in Randhart.

The incident was recorded on CCTV footage, and the video was spread worldwide.

“We will remain hopeful, and we will continue to fight for justice to be served. We will never give up,” said Ludi’s stepmother and family spokesperson Anet Vink.

Anet also said that they are thankful for the state to be able to have their case heard over two days.

Family and friends of Vink again wore their B+ Justice for Ludi shirts to show their support.
