She again updated them on the progress to have lifts installed and the malfunctioning washing machines at the residence. Some of the burning topics on the agenda of the day included an expected rental fee increase, as part of the City of Ekurhuleni’s annual fee increase.

In a recent statement, the City’s projects manager, Phumzile Nyatlo, said: “We have hit a small snag, due to the coronavirus lockdowns, our shipment has been delayed. We have, however, resolute that the contractor will assist with maintenance of the lift at Silwerkroon until a new one is installed. ”

Nyatlo reiterated that the contractor responsible for Silwerkroon assured them that the lift is on the ship to South Africa.
