THE Alberton Primary schools participated in the Alberton Championships on February 17 to see who would make it into the finals District Championships, which included the main districts of the schools in the areas of Alberton, Tokoza and Eden Park. The event was held at the Germiston Stadium, formerly Herman Immelman Stadium, Delville North Road, Germiston. The day was organised by Laerskool Orion.
The Afrikaans schools in the Alberton district included Laerskool Orion, President Steyn, Laerskool Generaal Alberts and Laerskool Randhart. The English schools which participated were Alberton Primary, Alberview Primary, Brackenhurst Primary, Kenton and Glenview Primary.
The Tokoza region included Khehlekile Primary School, Mohlodi Primary School, Mohaung Primary School, Setsing Primary School, Simunye Primary and Nqubela Primary School.
The Eden Park area school that participated was Eden Park Primary (Eden Ridge cluster).
