Hitzeroth murder case postponed due to missing lawyer

THE couple standing accused of the murder of Gert Hitzeroth appeared in Palm Ridge Magistrate’s Court on Augustus 26.

Their legal representation was not present in court. According to one of the accused their representation went to get the docket for the case as requested in a previous appearance.

The magistrate indicated that she did not understand this as the docket was set to be given to them by the prosecutor in court.

The matter has been postponed to September 11 for the legal representation to be present in court.

The accused were warned by the magistrate that their representation must be in court by 9am as they will not wait for lawyers.

Bail was extended.
