Two Springboks to coach Alberton rugby

Lawrence Sephaka and Kaya Malotana will be coaching Alberton rugby, the first former Springboks since Springboks Klippies Kritzinger in the eighties, Kevin de Klerk in the nineties and Johan le Roux after 2000.

ALBERTON – Lawrence Sephaka had worn the Springbok jersey between 2001 and 2006 in 29 matches, of which 24 tests. Kaya Malotana played in the Springbok jersey against Spain in 1999 to become the 687th Springbok on the record books.

The Alberton teams which they will coach this year will be known as A Square Forklift Alberton thanks to valuable sponsorship from A Square Forklift, with associated sponsorships from Diligent Security, NuPower Solar, SI Group and Raceview Motors, as well as various other specific jersey, trouser and garment sponsors.

Alberton chairman Manie Reyneke expressed his sincere thanks and appreciation to all the sponsors and new coaches for their indispensable role in making Alberton rugby again the best of the best, for which the club is extremely grateful.

A Square Forklift Alberton rugby teams train on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from after 18:00 and all new, existing and old members are invited to join them. Kick-off on training nights is at 18:30. Contact Lood Kleynhans 072 632 4836 or Manie Reyneke 082 891 5484.
