I am a Brackenhurst resident appalled at how our community responds to emergency vehicles (ambulances).
I witnessed this morning, once again off Voortrekker Road, how the traffic refused to allow an ambulance through and made no attempt to move over, despite the sirens indicating an emergency.
These are minutes wasted that could save someone’s life.
Perhaps the community should be made aware that an emergency vehicle has right of way and all other vehicles should make provision to move over for such vehicles. Just a thought.
