I recently visited the Alberton Dam and was horrified to see how full of rubbish the dam is.
This is not good at all for the animals, birds or fish.
It breaks my heart to see the deterioration of an area that was once enjoyed by many residents over weekends for family braais and picnics.
I grew up in Alberton and this is where I spent most of my childhood. It is very sad as it feels like there is no one who cares anymore.
What is happening to our town? Is there a way to get people involved in a clean-up of the dam and get this sad problem fixed?
