Cold front expected to hit Gauteng this afternoon (Monday & Tuesday)

Wrap up warm!

As per weather warning by Gauteng Weather, large cold front expected to hit Gauteng on Monday and Tuesday afternoon. Wrap up warm!

Be careful with heaters and gas fires and never leave them on when you leave your home.

The same with electric blankets, never leave them on if you go out of the house. As a precautionary measure don’t sleep with your electric blanket switched on.

Make sure gas bottles are filled up. If the cold front lasts for a few days gas bottles may be sold out at local suppliers and petrol station outlets.

Bring your pets indoors overnight. A severe drop in temperatures will leave them shivering outside.

• A child should not be left unattended in a room with a candle.
