MEMBERS of the Alberton SAPS arrested 52 suspects from April 18 to April 22.
One suspect was arrested and charged with assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm after he stabbed a man. The suspect is known to the victim, who laid charges. The police were on the lookout for the suspect, who handed himself over.
Another incident included a murder in a shebeen. The suspect was taken in for questioning and will appear in court.
“We had one suspect who will also be facing charges where he utilised a firearm unlawfully, which then led to an arrest.
“Suspects will soon be in the court of law for bail application,” said Capt Manare Ramotshela, spokesperson for Alberton SAPS.
