1 JOIN Brackendowns Baptist Church on May 1 for a 3km to 5km walk in aid of Stepping Stone Hospice and the Cancer Association, the church’s chosen beneficiaries. There will be food stalls and jumping castles. Registration starts at 7am and the walk starts at 8am. Walkers are required to register for R100. ALBERTON SPCA invites the public to a fun family day out on May 4 at the Alberton SPCA centre. Visitors will be treated to various stalls, food for sale, a jumping castle, games, an educational talk and a treasure hunt for the children. The public will be entertained by Miniclub SA, a group of individuals who will showcase their Mini Coopers. Entrance is free, but any donations will be gratefully accepted. 4 CRUSADERS Vaalside is celebrating four years and invites family and friends to join them for a day out with bikers on Saturday at Montagues, Henley Drive, Henley on Klip, from 11am until late. 8 STEPFAMILY enrichment course will provide practical, realistic solutions to issues that stepfamilies face. This course will help married, soon-to-be-married, couples living together and dating couples with children from a previous relationship. It is presented by Ron L Deal, a world-leading expert in the field of stepfamily enrichment, and is facilitated by members of the Alberton Methodist Church who have successfully raised stepchildren. The course will be hosted at Alberton Methodist Church, every Wednesday from May 8 to June 19, from 7pm to 9pm. 20 SAVE the dates! Känguru’s annual fun run/walk will be on July 20. Get your family and friends together and come and join us on this day. The run/walk starts at 8am at Känguru Foundation, 43 Garthview Road, Kliprivier. Tea and coffee will be available to fight off the morning chill.
