A signal jammer was used to avoid being tracked.

A WHITE and orange truck transporting liquor was hijacked in the early hours of the morning on January 18 on the N3 freeway near Heidelberg.

After CPS Security received numerous reports of gun firing in the South Crest area, they responded swiftly to investigate.

The hijacked truck was spotted by reaction units in South Rand Road in Tulisa Park. Upon further investigation it was established that the truck had a signal jammer in place to avoid being tracked. SAPS were contacted as well as the owners of the truck.
