A WOMAN was killed and a man seriously injured on September 6 following a head-on collision between two light motor vehicles on the R59 under the Boy Louw Bridge in Vereeniging.

ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene to find one light motor vehicle lying on its roof in the road while the second vehicle was found upright in the centre median. Upon closer inspection, paramedics found the body of a woman, believed to be in her 40s, lying trapped inside the vehicle found in the centre median.
