If its not nice, then don’t say it

These internet trolls are such cowards.

I am a resident from Verwoerdpark and I would just like to bring a message across to my fellow community members about trying to see the positive things about people, or rather keeping quiet if you can’t.

As a Facebook user, I often go through local Facebook pages to keep up with current affairs. Lately, however, I’ve decided to stop using Facebook so regularly, because there is so much negative energy on there that gets me down.

Some people honestly post such nice or innocent things, and then other people (who don’t even know them), rain on their parade with negative and outright horrible comments. Why?

I just want to express my frustration and annoyance with these internet trolls who sit behind their keyboards, self-esteem and self-confidence probably lacking, and think it’s okay to just dish out these disgusting negative comments and insults at people over the internet.

These trolls are such cowards as well because I’m sure they’ll never have the guts to be so horrible to someone in person, especially a stranger.

My point is – just be nice or say nothing. If you’re insecure and need a way to feel better about yourself, do some exercise or see a counsellor – just let other people be.
