UPDATE: Eden Park SAPS robbed at knifepoint

No significant developments have been made into solving the Eden Park robbery case.

DESPITE three weeks passing since the armed robbery of the Eden Park Police Station, no significant developments have been made by the police in solving the case.

This is according to Brigadier Mathapelo Peters, spokesperson for Gauteng SAPS.

The robbery of the Eden Park Police Station took place on June 7 when two suspects entered the police station at 12.30am. Four officers were on duty at the time and the suspects demanded that they give them the safe keys, after which the suspects made off with an R5 rifle.

The police, at that time, released a statement that only one suspect was armed with a weapon other than a firearm.

Police are still to disclose the nature of the weapon.
