Serious accident in Florentia leaves more than 15 injured
All patients were treated on the scene and then transported to various hospitals for further care.
FOX’s medical unit and other emergency services responded to a serious accident on the corner of Ring Road East and Du Plessis Street in Florentia on June 3 just after 8am.
Upon arrival their paramedic assessed the patients and called for additional resources from Med Help EMS, ER24 EMS and Ekurhuleni Fire and Rescue Services. All patients were treated on the scene and then transported to various hospitals for further care.
It is alleged that the driver of a silver Ford lost control of his vehicle and collided with a Ford Ranger bakkie and a taxi. The road was blocked off from both sides.
EMPD was also on the scene to investigate.
