Day of Champions on May 5 at Turffontein racecourse

Support the Intercontinental Village Day at Turffontein racecourse this Saturday.

The final and third leg of the Triple Crown will take place on May 5 at Turffontein racecourse.

The racing fraternity will line up for Champions Day which is also known as Intercontinental Village day where the communities in the Southern suburbs gets the chance to display their different cultures.

The races involved are the R4-million Premier’s Champion Challenge over 2 000m, the R2-m South African Derby over 450m, the third leg of the Triple Crown, and the Computaform Sprint over 1 000m.

The Ferrari Club will be in attendance with a display of their vehicles on the ground floor and racegoers will have the chance to win a ride around the track with one lucky person set to win a VIP experience at the SEFAC Ferrari Day at Kyalami in September.

Tickets for Champions Day, featuring the Intercontinental Village, start at R50. Tickets are on sale now at Webtickets.

Spend the day in the company of champions and support the various countries such as Italy, Portugal, South Africa, Greece, China and taste your way around the world. Sample a number of foods and enjoy the live entertainment on track from a host of different cultures and immerse yourself in all that the day has to offer.

There will also be enough entertainment for the children to keep them busy while their parents enjoy a day at the track.
