4 ALBERTON Day Music Festival is on our doorstep again. The festival will take place on May 4, May 5 and May 6. This year the organisers promise an even bigger and better show than ever before. The flea market and food stalls with exhibitors have been extended and fathers and mothers can relax in the beer garden while the kids can enjoy the massive funfair with rides for young and old. 11 IT is that time of the year again – time for Alberton High’s annual golf day at Reading Country Club on May 11. Enter now to reserve your spot. Cost is R550 per player or R2 200 per four-ball. This includes your ninth hole meal voucher and refreshments, dinner and prize-giving. 26 GET out those dancing shoes and come and rock the night away in real 80s style. Brackendowns CPF will be hosting an 80s rock evening as a fund-raiser at Apache’s nightclub in Alrode on May 26. Entrance is only R25 per person and payable at the door on the evening. There will be live DJ, a cash bar, plenty of dance place and loads of chill space. If you are not into the dancing side of things, come and enjoy a game of pool or simply relax in the cigar lounge with your friends.
