EMM brings smiles to residents

Eden Park residents flocked to the rates office to get their business done.

THE doors of the Eden Park rates offices are open for business and things are back to normal as it was before the break-in and vandalism at the office in November 2017.

After the RECORD published that the office was open for business as usual, residents of Eden Park and surrounding areas flocked to the office to get their business done.

The RECORD spoke to many of the smiling customers who expressed their joy of not having to travel by taxi to Thokoza anymore.

Residents who were most affected by the closing of the rates offices since November were pensioners and the unemployed who had to struggle with taxi fares.

One resident who wishes to remain anonymous said:

“Never, never and never must this happen again. Thanks to council for not closing the doors forever. The service even seems faster now.”
