A year of change for Alberton Athletics Club

Newly elected committee at Alberton Athletics Club says that 2018 is a year of change.

With an eye on the eventful 2018 Alberton Athletic Club (AAC) is moving towards a year of modernisation and evolution.

At the recent AGM, a number of vibrant young individuals joined the committee alongside club icon Andries Venter and race director Michael Brandon-Kirby. Newly elected chairman André Venter sees this year as a year of change, something the new committee will strive for.

“Not only are we introducing a first-of-its-kind incentive system that will reward members in cash for running road races, we’ll also be redesigning our iconic blue & gold club kit and renovating the AAC clubhouse. The club’s ethos is more than a vest and a licence number – we’re a community with a shared passion for the sport.”

Whether you are a seasoned campaigner or a novice eyeing your first ever race, Alberton Athletics Club will support and guide you to making 2018 a year worth looking forward to. Enquire on 079 219 2580 or join them at time trials every Tuesday at 6pm from the AAC clubhouse on Braun Road, Verwoerdpark. Everyone is welcome.
