Stolen goods found at shop in Eden Park

Sedibeng Brewery's operation manager positively identified the stock as stolen from the brewery in Kliprivier.

KLIPRIVIER SAPS and metro police swamped a shop on the corner of Mazda and Leyland streets, Eden Park before the owner had opened the doors for business.

With the shop still closed, the law enforcers patiently waited until the owner arrived. According to the report at Eden Park SAPS, the owner was then asked to open his storeroom. Upon investigation, police found Heineken beer for which the owner did not have an invoice and could not provide an explanation of how he got the beer.

Police further stated that Sedibeng Brewery’s operation manager was summoned to the scene to identify the stock, which was positively identified as stock stolen from the brewery in Kliprivier.

The shop owner was arrested and taken to the Eden Park SAPS where he was charged for possession of stolen property.
