Black Monday in Alberton

All dressed up in black.

BLACK Monday took place on October 30 around South Africa to support farmers and to remember those who lost their lives. The RECORD asked people to share their Black Monday photos.

CHRISTA ROBBETZE: “I wore black on Black Monday to help stop murders against South African farmers. Enough is enough, no farmer no food.”
SONIKE BRAND: Sonike wore black on Monday while her son was dressed up as a farmer. “I feel very strong about this and I hope that we as South Africans can help to stop it.”
CHARNE HEUNIS: This local model had her black outfit on, on October 30. “We need to stop the farm attacks and we all must stand together as one land.”
ELSI RADEMEYER: “I am supporting the farmers and I wore black in memory of those we’ve lost. We need to make South Africa a better place.”
COLETTE NAUDE: Collette was dressed in black on October 30 to show her support to the farmers. “South Africa needs its farmers to provide food for the country and they are all being murdered, it is so sad.”
