Two arrested for Brackendowns break-in

Stolen goods were recovered together with a SAPS badge.

TWO suspects in a Brackendowns house robbery were arrested as a result of the actions of SAPS and EMPD members, as well as CPS Security officers.

FOUND: These objects were found in the suspect’s possession.

A member from the SAPS K9 Search and Rescue unit and CPS Security officers reacted to a house break-in in Quince Street, Brackendowns on May 10. One of the two suspects was arrested but the other one got away. Stolen goods were recovered together with an SAPS badge. After a follow-up operation by CPS Security, the other suspect was caught on May 11.

“The suspect was traced to the Alberton area and successfully apprehended by CPS Security, EMPD and SAPS,” said Tyrone van der Merwe, sales manager of CPS Security.

STOLEN: Some of the other stolen goods that were found.

Upon further investigation it was discovered that the suspects are wanted for several cases ranging from motor gate theft to house robberies.
