All Alberton residents are urged to steer clear of the Mall at Newmarket as entry will be denied.
According to our sources, the mall has been completely evacuated due to a bomb scare at around 12:30 today, Wednesday, March 1.
RECORD spoke to several bystanders and nobody seemed to really know anything, just that they were asked to vacate the immediate vicinity.
One of the security guards however did also mention that it seems to be a bomb scare but that is all he knows.
