Ludi Vink’s attacker out on R5 000 bail

The 52-year-old suspect was released on bail this afternoon after handing himself in this morning.

The suspect who turned himself in earlier today regarding the murder of Ludi Vink, got out on bail.

The 52-year-old suspect got out on R5 000 and the case is postponed until April 20, 2017.

It was mentioned in the court that the suspect has cancer but the court did not give him bail for any special conditions.

The case is postponed for further investigation.

Ludi was stabbed in the face with a pool cue when he tried to stop a fight.

According to a family member he tried to break up a fight to stop other men from attacking the bar owner.

The suspect whose name is known to the RECORD will appear in court on April 20.

Ludi’s memorial will be held on Tuesday, February 28 at the Alberton Methodist Church in Heidelberg Road.
