A local security provider, assisted by the EMPD’s K-9 unit, apprehended two armed robbery suspects and recovered an unlicensed firearm on December 28.
According to CPS Security’s sales manager, Tyrone van der Merwe, an armed robbery took place at a shop in Florentia, Alberton, in the early hours of December 28.
The two suspects attempted to flee on foot but were successfully apprehended by CPS members in Braun Street, Verwoedpark.
An unlicensed firearm was also recovered.
