Three young men from Alberton tragically died after the light aircraft they were traveling in, crashed.

Three young men from Alberton tragically died after the light aircraft they were travelling in, crashed on Saturday, December 10.

Brandon Pretorius, Clifton Maverick, and Jonathan Plots (all 20 years old and old-Alberton High School learners) were flying back to Gauteng after taking off from the Mpumalanga International Airport when, according to sources, the plain started falling and crashed in Ngodwana (in the Sappi forest), around 50 kilometres from their point of departure.

The three youngsters were all declared dead on the scene and the families were set to identify the bodies on Monday, December 12.
