Accounts are never on time

EMM is quick to act when you pay late but their accounts are never delivered on time

Today I have a bone to pick with whoever is responsible for sending out EMM accounts.

These are just never on time. By the time I have to almost pay my account due at the end of August, I receive the account payable in July. What a joke!

Phone any of the 011 999 numbers and you will phone until doomsday because these phones are just never answered.

Phone the call centre and they give you a number for the people hosting EMMs website – another laughable situation because you are just told that they can’t help unless you are registered online.

Like many others, or most of the other taxpaying residents in EMM’s area, I work full time and don’t have time to go the Alberton offices, queue to get a copy of my account and then stand in another queue to pay my account.

But boy oh boy, be late with your payment and they will send a final notice for non-payment – that can be delivered well in time. Makes you wonder.

The RECORD forwarded the letter to EMM for comment and is awaiting a reply.
