Women must remember their worth

Bridgette also reminded the women to remember their worth and to take time out of their very busy lives to spoil and pamper themselves.

IN honour of Women’s Day, mothers, grandmothers and aunties from Junior Colleges Castillian in Meyersdal were treated to a morning of coffee, fun and laughter, on August 10.

Bridgette Khitule spoke to those present about “the real worth of women.” Bridgette is a vibrant and passionate woman who has a heart for children and parenting. She spoke about the values of a woman and suggested practical ways on interacting with children and really getting them involved and having them as an active part of parents’ lives.

She also spoke about how to develop a secure and free home for children and even how to get dads involved in helping mothers with the household chores and the running of the home. A wonderful suggestion Bridgette made was having dads take their little girls on ‘date nights’ to show them how much he values and treasures her.

“She had some wonderful antidotes on how to keep children entertained with fun games and activities, ” said principal Elizabeth Steenkamp.

Bridgette also spoke about body language and how you reflect as a person on your children. “Your actions influence your children. The way you speak about people and the way you treat people. Remember that children learn from example and listen to everything their parents and elders say and do,” said Bridgette.

Bridgette also reminded the women to remember their worth and to take time out of their very busy lives to spoil and pamper themselves.
