NATIONAL NEWS: Three injured in shoot-out

The details surrounding the shooting are not yet known but local authorities were on the scene to conduct further investigations.

A shoot-out on the N14 near the Petroport, north of Johannesburg, left three men injured this morning. ER24 paramedics, along with other emergency services, arrived on the scene and found a heavy SAPS presence.

A bakkie lay off into the veld a short distance away from the road, with three men lying a few metres away.

On inspection, paramedics found three men had sustained numerous gunshot wounds, leaving two of them in a critical condition and the third with moderate injuries.

Paramedics treated the patients and provided the critically injured patient with advanced life support.

Once treated, the patients were transported to nearby hospitals for urgent treatment.
