I would like to complain about the Post Office in Alberton, as it is in a disgusting state.
My family and I recently moved to Alberton, it seemed like a fairly nice, quiet place to live, but then I had my first (and most likely last) experience with the Post Office.
Upon getting out of my car, I was attacked by an overwhelming stench of urine, and it is very unclean because it is not being cleaned at all.
I would like to know why we as taxpayers have to put up with such terrible service, and then have to be confronted by such a stink, and I’m sure it is a health risk as well.
All the staff have to do is clean every once in a while, but I suppose they will say it is not their job.
If so, at least hire someone to come and clean, there is more than enough money for such a small, surely inexpensive, yet important thing.
As someone new to Alberton, I can tell you that this type of thing severely tarnishes the image of Alberton. I cannot imagine that this is allowed to go on, perhaps the residents have just become used to this kind of thing and are sick and tired of fighting, but this is really a sad state of affairs that needs to be addressed.
Disappointed
The RECORD reported on the same issue (along with the filthy postboxes and the homeless sleeping there) in the beginning of April, after another resident sent a letter of complaint through. The Post Office management responded that the issues would be dealt with.
RECORD has, however, received no further feedback from the Post Office.
