Emperors Palace Classic Cycle Elite

Exciting racing over two days at Emperors Palace.

THE ninth edition of the Emperors Palace Road Classic Cycle Elite race over 98km was comfortably won by Bradley Potgieter on Sunday, April 10. Showing good form he outclassed the field to cross the finishing line to a thrilling race.

However, it was another story in the National Crit – Kermesse – series in the Elite men division. Morne van Niekerk snatched the Kermesse in front of Potgieter, to withhold a double win from from him. JC Nel came in at third position.

The overall Elite Women National Crit – Kermesse – series saw Vera Adrian crossing the line first, with Carla Oberholzer second and in third place Micelle Benson.

The Road Classic Cycle event took place from Saturday, April 9, and Sunday, April 10. The Mounten Bike race took place on Saturday while the road cycling events were completed on Sunday.
