All-electric Landy Defender in all-authentic leather

An electric traditional-looking Defender? I will eat my hat, I hear you say.

Well. Start eating.

The supplier of the finest automotive leather has just revealed a fully restored and updated Defender 90 with a state-of-the-art electric powertrain.

The Landy joins five other automotive “icons”: a McLaren Speedtail, a Range Rover SV Autobiography Ultimate Edition, an Aston Martin DBX and two cars from David Gandy’s personal collection, a Jaguar XK120 and Porsche 356 C.

Justin Lunny, the founder and CEO of Everrati Automotive Limited, said, “Our mission is to craft cutting-edge, desirable and sustainable cars, each with the soul of an icon. To do so requires unparalleled attention to detail, technical proficiency and expert partners. For the interior of this new electric version of the legendary Series IIA, there was only one choice: Bridge of Weir leather. Not only is their leather of the highest quality, but it is also the world’s lowest carbon intensity automotive leather, further adding to Everrati’s overall sustainability mission.”

Jamie Davidson, the director of Bridge of Weir Leather Company, said, “We’re delighted to host the first public debut of Everrati’s electric version of the Land Rover Series IIA at our members’ enclosure at Concours of Elegance. Bridge of Weir has been manufacturing the finest leather for the automotive industry for more than a century – and innovation is at the heart of what the business does. For us, sustainability and premium quality goes hand in hand.”
