Compilation album to be made by local artists

Label founder and artist Savage Sossa said artists can submit up to five songs.

Kwa-Thema – Kwatsaduza artists are invited to collaborate with local record label Street Corner Academy for a compilation album.
The project aims to promote, expose and uplift local hip-hop artists while helping them save costs.
A compilation album is a body of work created by various individuals, which may be previously released or unreleased, usually from several separate recordings by several performers.
Label founder and artist Savage Sossa said artists can submit up to five songs. Only two, however, will be selected.

“My friend Bafana Hlophe gave me the idea, as I am in the studio working on new music.
“Through this initiative, we have created a platform for other artists to have their songs published and exposed to a wider audience.
“For example, we as artists who would have contributed to the project when we share the link to the music, it automatically gives other artists on the project exposure to that artist’s fan base,” he explained.
The project will be released on August 8 through the label’s website.
Interested artists can submit their music to streetcorneracademy83@gmail.com
