Wright Park community ensures senior citizens are taken care of

“Fathers are very important, especially for younger boys.”

The Wright Park community came together to treat their elderly community members on Monday morning in celebration of Father’s Day.
Qhubeka Phambili Development and Training services offered a special exercise programme and also helped the senior citizens with dietary advice.
Many of the pensioners struggle with diabetes, low blood sugar and other health impairments which require a special diet.

Bianca Birnie and Sibongile Mahlangu from African Queen handed over coffee mugs to the elderly.
“We want to take care of our community. These people are very special to us and we must do all we can to make sure they are taken care of,” said community leader Macdonald Nyoka.
He encouraged all members from Wright Park to take care of themselves.
“Fathers are very important. Fathers are there to show boys how to do things correctly. All young children need a father figure in their lives,” said Birnie.
