Jaykha promises more ‘banging’ music

Born Melikhaya Mtshotwana (28), the local artist is working on his new single titled Dream, which will be released in early July across all digital platforms.

He said his goal is to position himself as a respected lyricist and musician.
Mtshotwana fell in love with music at the age of 15 and has never looked back.
In 2010 he joined a rap group called Mic Hustlers.
Mtshotwana released his first solo project in 2013 titled Suddenly.

“With the last single, I wanted to rap my heart out.
“This is a clean hip-hop record with well-matched raps, not forgetting the double switch of flows on every fourth bar coming in.
“However, there’s still so much I want to say,” he explained.
He launched his own record label Mashalon Music in 2019 and has partnered with Misani Gawushe to establish an apparel brand called Amandla Clothing.
