Man admitted to Far East Rand after shooting

A 32-year-old man was shot during a business robbery in Modder East on Monday afternoon.
Springs police spokesperson Capt Johannes Ramphora said the shop assistant was serving customers when two men armed with guns entered the shop and ordered her and her colleague to lie down.

Once the pair was on the floor, the men took approximately R3 000 from the shop before fleeing on foot.
The shop owner’s brother was shot when he attempted to stop the men from fleeing.
He was taken to the Far East Rand Hospital.
A case of business robbery and attempted murder has been opened.
