Man lucky to be alive after he was shot in Endicott hijacking

A 29-year-old man is lucky to be alive after he was shot twice in the leg during a hijacking in Endicott on Wednesday evening.
The victim had stopped at the 2020 Utility Supermarket on Ermelo Road and was climbing out of his car, a white Mazda Drifter, when he was approached by two men.

One of the men pulled out a gun and, without warning, shot the victim twice in his upper right leg.
While the victim lay bleeding on the ground, the men jumped into his car and drove off.
Two spent cartridges were found on the scene.
The victim was taken to hospital via ambulance and no arrests have been made.
