Guard killed at construction site
Security guard fatally shot in Dersley Park
A security guard was shot and killed during a robbery at a construction site in Dersley Park last Friday evening.
Springs police spokesperson Capt Johannes Ramphora told the Advertiser two security guards were sitting inside a truck when they were approached by a group of approximately 13 people.
A gunman in the group shot one of the guards in the stomach after believing him to be armed.

They then took the truck and drove off.
The group entered the site from where a gate has not yet been erected.
Police found a cartridge case on the scene.
