He released his much-anticipated album in January titled Votjo Qgi.

Tribal house artist Given Vusi Msiza AKA Jazzman is one of KwaThema’s rising superstars.

He released his much-anticipated album in January titled Votjo Qgi.

“I have been doing music for 15 years and have managed to start my own publishing company,” says Jazzman.

Having grown up in KwaThema, Vusi always wanted to create music.

He went to Lefa-Ifa Secondary School in KwaThema where he matriculated.

Thereafter, he furthered his studies at Sibikwa Arts Academy where he learned how to play different musical instruments such as piano, marimba, drums and clarinet.

He also studied music and vocals at Mbira School of Music and Art.

“I make music because music is life. It makes people dance. Music has the power to change and transform our daily lives.”

Jazzman is set to perform at the Tribal African Music Festival in Ghana this coming Easter holidays.

He has toured South Africa and Zimbabwe to promote his latest offering.

Not only is he a musician but he is an entrepreneur.

Having opened his own Chesa Nyama in KwaThema Extension Two.

Jazzman would like to encourage young and aspiring artists to never give up and they should strive for independence.

“Push your stuff independently. Do not sit and wait to be signed.

“Start now to put your music out there. Platforms like social media make it easier for artists to distribute their work,” says Jazzman.
