New album for Smehlane

KwaThema – Renowned musician and actor Vusi ‘Smehlane’ Nhlapo has released his latest CD offering titled Afropop.
The eight-track album features songs like Amaqawe which is loved by many and was released as a single to celebrate the centenary of the birth of the freedom icon, the late former president Nelson Mandela.
It also features songs like Imbokodo, a tribute to hardworking women, Skhothane and Obohlaswa.

Smehlane describes his album as a fusion of different genres of music which will see music lovers enjoy the album.
“It is made up of songs that will motivate one to take it to the dance floor.
“As a performing artist passionate about the entertainment industry, I used his talent to advance to performing on stage,” he describes it.
Smetlane says in 1997 he got an opportunity to work with Abrie Mmakola and Thuthukane Cele of Free.
“I have worked with the likes of Jo Nina, the late Dj Monde of YFm and Jimmy B.
“I was featured on the television drama Encounters and commercials,” he concludes.
