The Middle School Treasure Hunters: Quest for the City of Gold is the perfect book to explore the world with from the comfort of your own couch.

The Kidd family is on a quest to find the lost Incan city of Paititi, not the city of Johannesburg as you might have thought from the title.

Bickford ‘Bick’ Kidd and his twin sister Rebecca ‘Beck’ have to work together to find the treasure.

From the beginning of their trip, Bick and Beck find themselves swimming in shark-infested waters as they attempt to join their parents and big brother Tommy on Cocos Island.

As is the case with the two youngest Kidd siblings, trouble seems to find them wherever they go.

After they are reprimanded for disobeying orders from their parents, the Kidd family teams up to find this ancient city.

This hair-raising adventure is full of unexpected twists and turns such as encounters with monster snakes, armed thugs and booby traps.

This book is perfect for readers between the ages of eight and 12 and who’ll love the illustrations.

The tale of the Kidd family is told from Bick’s perspective and it makes it easy to read and understand.

The family-friendly tale has the right balance of entertainment, as well as valuable lesson youngsters can learn from.

Authors James Patterson and Chris Grabenstein are master story-tellers and this fast-paced story will invigorate your love of adventure, whether you’re young or old.
