Many people believe shopping for Christmas presents throughout the year eases the burden on the wallet in December.

If you are one of the people who always has an eye out for a stocking filler or two, this may be the ideal gift for the teenage girl in your life.

The Choose Kind Journal is an undated journal encouraging the writer to be kind every day.

It is aimed at school children and encourages them to get to know, and be kind to, children they would usually not interact with.

Each page sets an assignment for the day with the view of doing one wonderful thing every day.

Your teen will be asked to do things like performing a chore for someone else, writing a note to a family member, listing the kind things they have done for the writer or learning a few words in someone else’s language.

Your teen will then be asked to journal the experience.

Aggie’s teacher, Mr Browne, tells his readers in 365 Days of Wonder by RJ Palacio: “Kindness can spread from person to person, like glitter.

“Glitter shines brightest when there’s a lot of it around, and so does kindness.”

This is the premise of the journal – spreading kindness around the writer’s world.
