I recently got my hands on this book and I found it hard to put down as I was intrigued by what was going to happen next.

The book is based on crime sprees which were carried out by an Italian group called the Black Hand in New York in 1906.

Their criminal rampage includes smuggling, counterfeiting, kidnapping, theft, extortion, arson and business bombing.

A private investigations company, Van Dorn Agency, is appointed to help fight the crime and bring the perpetrators to the book.

Detective Isaac Bell is assigned to lead the case.

He identifies, through a series of mysterious murders and other criminal activities in the area, that this is going to be a tough case to work on.

Through building the puzzle to solve the case he learns that all the criminal activities may be carried out by a powerful man who it will be difficult to pin down.

They work hard to find the leader of the group and he is identified as Antonio Branco.

In the end the Van Dorn Agency detectives were able to bring the gang to its knees and restored peace in the area.

The book is an adventure thriller and it will leave the reader glued to it to find out what will happen next between the detectives and the criminals.

People of all ages will enjoy reading the book and I reward the authors with nine stars out of ten.
