Charlie Mindgames aims to bring the silverware home

KwaThema - Charlie Mindgames is the on-stage persona adopted by talented young vocalist Zithobile Khoza (27).

The youngster, who hails from KwaThema, has been nominated for a Metro FM Award in the category Best R&B, which he is thrilled about.

“I feel humbled and excited as it is the first time being nominated for an award on a national scale, among artists who are already successful in the industry.

“All I want to do is bring this award home, so I can put KwaThema on the map, as I love my home town,” he says.

Charlie Mindgames found his musical niche early in his life and has been performing on a national stage since he turned 13.

In addition to the support he receives from a growing legion of fans, he has also garnered critical acclaim from fellow musicians.

Most recently, he provided backing vocals for popular South African group MiCasa on their All the Glory album, and performed live with international DJ, Rocco.

His voice can also be heard on many compilation albums.

He is a versatile performer with a varied vocal range and a smooth and soulful voice.

His music genre ranges from house and R&B to Soul Full House.

Charlie’s first album, Private Appointment, is currently in stores and is doing phenomenally well on major radio stations and downloads.

His first single, As Long as you Love Me, is currently receiving airplay on various local and national radio stations.
