The Ekurhuleni Arts and Culture Department is launching the symphony season on May 10.
This will be an annual event of a performance of opera (Cavalleria Rusticana).
Well-known singers including Annamarie Steenkamp, Loveline Madumo and the Ryte Culture Chorus will perform at the Springs Theatre.
Ekurhuleni has partnered with Ryte Culture to make this possible.
Entrance is free.
Springs and surrounding areas can look forward to the first performance of classical music on July 26, and many performances are lined up at the Springs Theatre.
Well-known opera singer Pretty Yende will be one of the evening’s top performers.
Verdi Requeim will be performed by the Gauteng Choristers, JPO Choir and the Ryte Chorus.
